The results are in and we came in 7th this year out of 21 teams in the autonomous challenge. Candi produced a very strong showing and we are looking forward to improving her for next year. For more info contact IGVC project manager Logan Snow.

Starlight Soap Box Derby Downhill Challenge

Ice Cream Social for Woodruff School

The Mechanical Engineering dept is hosting an ice cream social for their undergraduates on Thursday, August 30, 2007 from 2p.m. to 4 p.m. in Burdell Plaza. We will have a display featuring our robots along with the rest of the Student Competition Center on the lawn outside the MRDC. Don’t for get your shirts and appetite for ice cream.
Introduction & Information Meeting

This meeting is for new and returning members. We will be holding it this year in the student center ballroom (blue). We will present info on each sub-team and talk about the organization as a whole. New members will get to meet the current team leaders and seem some of our on going projects. The meeting begins at 7:30pm. We will start off with officer introductions and organizational overview. Following the presentation interested members will be allowed to talk to each team at their table and see some demos.

IGVC Robot is Alive!!!!

Candi is alive and kicking…and drove outdoors on grass! All vital systems of the IGVC robot are fully functional. Thanks to everyone involved in the project for their help in reaching this milestone.

Booths will be along Cherry Street and through the path leading to the stadium between Lyman Hall and Juniors Grill. They will also likely be utilizing some of the lawns in that area. Check-in will begin at 4:45pm, and students will likely begin arriving around 5:15. This will be by the library fountain on top of the Skiles stairs.
*** We will meet at tin around 4:00pm to get our stuff ready for the event.
*All FASET events except for the short summer and the last (FASET V) are on a Sunday afternoon.
- Dates are as follows:
- Short Summer Session: June 14th
- FASET I: July 8th (this occurs during RoboCup)
- FASET II: July 22nd
- FASET III: July 29th
- FASET IV: August 5th
- FASET V: August 15th (out of town)
