2007 RoboCup Results
July 19, 2007 3:46 pm | By Stefan Posey
Its been a long seven months and after a short break from it all here it is. As a result of a malfunction with one of the two cameras that we require to control the five robots, we did not get to qualify for the competition. In light of this, we were able to compete in a few of the mini challenges such as obstacle avoidance and defense. Even though we could not compete, we did however collect game play data with the working camera. We also took notes and received advice from some of the other teams on what to do and what not to do next year. That said we will begin hardware development of a new set of five in the fall and software development will continue with our current team. For more info contact the RJ RoboCup project manager Andy Bardagjy.

We will have our regular FASET style setup. Don’t forget to wear your RoboJackets shirt. Also those of you that deal with the programming aspect of things should come and check this out. Our table must be set up no later than 9:15am and food will apparently be available.
This will be updated as more info becomes available.
2007 Starlight Downhill Results
July 12, 2007 3:59 pm | By Stefan Posey
This year the event was packed, overly entertaining, and definitely interesting. The RoboJackets car came in 9th out of over 40 cars (the top 8 went on to elimination rounds). We are already looking forward to next years and thinking about possibilities for the Dooley Derby. In addition to our modest success, the other Georgia Tech entries, GT Offroad (1st) and the group from mars society (2nd). Pictures from the build and the event are now up in our gallery and a select few from the event are on flickr.
The event is also on AJC, MAKE, zedomax, and Pine Magazine.
