In cooperation with GT IEEE we will be hosting a DARPA Urban Challenge Viewing Party on Saturday, November 3, 2007. It will start in Van Leer W200 at 11am and end at 4pm. The Latin American Association will be hosting their annual conference at Georgia Tech on Saturday, October , 2007. This years theme is “Technology Moves the World”. As such we have been asked to be on hand with our robots to help start the event. We will be on hand from around 8am till possibly 10am interacting with students.
The FIRST team will meet with Tech High School on Thursday, October 24, 2007 at 4pm in the Student Competition Center.
This Wednesday at 5:00 pm there will be a demo for Georgia Tech’s Urban Grand Challenge vehicle. The demo will be in the parking lot next to Tech Square across from the Cheetah. All members are invited to come by. More info about the vehicle can be found at http://www.sting-racing.org/.

The College of Computing will be hosting an undergraduate student recruitment event on Saturday, October 27, 2007. It will be in the Atrium of the Klaus Advanced Computing Building from 2:00PM till 4:00PM. We will be present with our robots and usual display. As this is a CoC event those of you that are CS are especially encouraged to come.
On Friday, Georgia Tech was well represented by the RoboJackets and GT OffRoad at Emory’s Second Annual Dooley Derby. For the second time we placed 3rd with a time of 20.1 seconds and took home a $100 Whole Foods gift card. GT Offroad came in 1st for the second year as well.
