The Atlanta Hobby Robot Club, the first Robot Club in the U.S., in conjunction with Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) is hosting the 11th annual Robot Rally on Saturday, October 11, 2008. See robots, talk with robot builders, witness exciting head-to-head robot competitions, learn all about robots. This year’s event includes a Vacuum Robot contest, a Mini-Sumo Robot contest, Ant-weight Combat Robots and an innovative Open Robot competition. More info can be found at botlanta.org.

On Friday, October 3rd, 2008 we will be running a booth at the MRDC for family weekend. The event lasts from 2pm to 4pm. We will need to setup by 1:30pm. Members should meet in the SCC by 1pm.

The Fall 2008 Robotics and Intelligent Machines at Georgia Tech (RIM@GT) Seminar series has started. Most seminars will be held on Wednesdays from noon to 1pm and feature talks on robotics from leading research and industry personnel around the globe.
